THIS IS A DESTINATION WORKSHOP:
Come and experience the Grand Tetons in full fall color with like-minded artists! This workshop is sure to be one of a kind with lots of practical information that you can use immediately and take back home with you.
Who will benefit from this workshop?
This class is for artists of all levels who have some experience painting outdoors and would like to free up their brushwork while learning a natural method of composing quickly on the spot. If this is your goal, then this workshop is for you!
The workshop will begin on Monday morning at 10 am, with a meet & greet at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, followed by a Power-point presentation on seeing and using masses while composing outdoors. The group will then reconvene on location where John will demonstrate the concepts learned in the classroom that morning.
During the afternoon session, class participants will have the opportunity to paint for the rest of the day with plenty of one-on-one instruction from John. * We will normally work from 9am to 4 pm daily, except for the first day since the museum doesn’t open until 10 am. On that day we will work out on location until 5 pm.
Each day will include a demo, either in the morning or afternoon so that class members have the chance to paint in both morning and afternoon light.
